A Bias Toward Kindness

Life’s Not Fair

Life’s not fair. We don’t get what we deserve. The cards are stacked, the game is rigged.

What would it mean if life were fair, if we got what we deserved? If we really did get exactly the results of our thoughts and emotions, we would be living our nightmares. Worried that others are judging your every move? Now they are. Anxious about your flight getting in safely? Brace for impact! That mole on your back? Definitely cancer.

If life were fair, that’d be the reality for the large number of people whose thoughts are overrun with fears, everyone driven to prevent the unwanted from happening, all who worry about the future. Most of us, and most of our thoughts.

Maybe you have noticed, though: rarely does what we worry about actually happen. The vast majority of our fears never materialize.

A Positive Bias

Life isn’t fair. There is a bias — in our favor.

We get something better than we give. We reap a heartier harvest than we sow.

The Ra material calls it a “bias towards kindness.” Seth explains it as an unequal playing field: “Energy is not neutral.” Positive feelings and beliefs ‘take’ more quickly, Seth says, while “limiting beliefs have to meet certain resistances.”

Each of us creates and experiences “according to your beliefs and expectations,” Seth tells us, referring to the creative realm as Framework 2, the metaphysical behind the physical. In the Ra material, this concept is described as the indigo ray form-maker manifesting as yellow ray form. And it’s not a 1:1 equation, thank goodness.

Your third-density experience is distorted or skewed so that the positive orientation has more aid than the so-called negative,” Ra says.

Life Supports Life

Why do we have it so good? Why is this how creation works?

Seth tells us that “those desires that lead to fulfillment and positive creativity are more in keeping with the natural leanings of Framework 2 itself.” The creative soil is more fertile for the thoughts that support our grandest, fullest expression. “Negative beliefs have to be inserted there with great repetitiveness before you meet their physical results,” while positive beliefs take root with ease.

It is not true that energy is neutral, equally available for positive and negative use, Seth assures us. The system is designed to work in favor of creativity and fulfillment. Life supports life.
